Training for Journalists and Journalism Students

CEL has held training with journalists and journalism students on portraying the LGBTI community in the media. Participants were informed about terminology and how to write an article that would not be homophobic for readers. During the training, some homophobic articles reported in the Kosovo media were also analyzed, and participants were also asked to think about ideas they could write in the future, where those ideas were presented at the end of the training.

Training for Police Officers from Pristina and South Mitrovica

CEL provided training with Police officers from Pristina and South Mitrovica. The training was very successful in raising awareness of the participants, and giving them more information on the issues and the LGBT community. During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn more about LGBTI persons; as well as how to identify and treat cases of violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation / gender identity.
