Awareness-raising training on the rights of LGBT communities

CEL held a three-day training with young participants, representatives of the Kosovar Youth Council – KYC.
Subject: Human rights training program, with a particular focus on the rights of the LGBT community.
During these three days, participants had the opportunity to learn more about terminology, the position of the LGBT community in society, the legal assistance available to the community, the importance of activism, the role and impact of media reporting, etc.
During the training, interactive activities and group workshops were organized among the participants, in order to better understand and position the position of this community in Kosovo society, as well as to discuss new ways of raising the awareness of the community. All participants were certified to participate.
KYC is a new CEL contributor, and together we will continue to work to raise awareness of the LGBT community in Kosovo.
The training is part of the Advancing the LGBTI communities Position in Society program, funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo.
