We have published the report on gender-based violence against LGBTIQ+ communities in Kosovo for 2023–2024.
Authored by Liri Kuçi, this report sheds light on the violence faced by LGBTIQ+ individuals in Kosovo, highlighting the urgent need for greater institutional engagement to address this violence, which manifests in both physical and psychological forms.

Following the presentation of the report, a panel discussion was held featuring representatives from civil society and the Kosovo Police. Moderated by Adelina Berisha, the panel included the report’s author, Alba Ajdarevikj from the Kosovar Center for Gender Studies, and Captain Shkumbin Kadishani, Head of the Central Investigation Sector at the Directorate for Prevention and Investigation of Domestic Violence within the Kosovo Police.
The discussion reiterated the need for a shelter for LGBTIQ+ individuals and emphasized the importance of strengthening Kosovo Police mechanisms to empower and encourage the reporting of gender-based violence against LGBTIQ+ communities.
