We have the pleasure to invite you to the opening of the exhibition Heartbreak Hotel, curated by Bjeshkë Guri and Simon Kurti at the Grand Hotel Prishtina on the 6th of December at 19:00.
From ancient times, heartbreak has been interpreted through various lenses with different cultures attempting to understand and attribute meaning to it. The alchemy of transformation that follows heartbreak is often seen as a process that connects personal loss to universal truths, offering space for growth and introspection. This exhibition invites us to inspect the internal landscapes concerning longing, identity, and hope.
Through three hotel rooms, showcasing poems and multimedia installations, the exhibition explores heartbreak through young artists’ perspectives. Their narratives and reflections expose love’s fragility and complexities of queer existence.
This exhibition is implemented by CEL Kosova with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
