Civil Society Organizations, Individuals, and Activists, for the Regulation of Marriage between Same-Sex Individuals in the Civil Code
Yesterday, on January 20, 2022, over 60 civil society organizations, individuals, and activists joined the long-term advocacy process for regulating marriage for same-sex individuals in the Draft Civil Code (https://md.rks-gov.net/…/5582524D-4557-43D6-A814…)
The organizations, individuals, and participating activists, in a sign of support for this process, signed the letter that is still circulating for support and signatures. The same letter will be addressed to the Assembly of Kosovo, Deputies, and Parliamentary Committees in the coming days, regarding the regulation of marriage for same-sex individuals in the Draft Civil Code.
Currently, the Draft Civil Code has not included demands for the use of neutral language in the regulation of marriage, continuing the exclusionary treatment of the LGBTIQ+ community.
We invite all organizations, individuals, and activists who work and act for the realization of human rights, without exceptions, who believe in the principles of equality, non-discrimination, the right to privacy, the right to family creation, to join organizations and activists in support of the letter.
