Mental health is a fundamental aspect of an individual’s overall well-being, encompassing emotional, psychological, and social dimensions. For LGBTI+ communities, mental health takes on added significance due to unique challenges and societal stigmas. Individuals in LGBTI+ communities often face discrimination, prejudice, and social marginalization, leading to increased vulnerability to mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation.

“The Lifeline” is a suicide prevention hotline in Kosovo that provides confidential and free telephone service for individuals with suicidal thoughts every day from 14:00 in the morning until 02:00 in the morning. During this time frame, calls are received and managed by our volunteers who are specifically trained for online work. If you or someone you know needs to talk, the Lifeline is here for you. Call 0800 12345, from 14:00 to 02:00.

Additionally, CEL continues to offer free psychological services for individuals in LGBTI+ communities in Kosovo. To schedule an appointment, contact one of the psychologists via email. Information for each of the psychologists can be found in the respective posts.
