Public debate on queer spaces and local policies

🟢 CEL Kosova, with the support of EU in Kosovo, hosted an open conversation with Lindita Hajdari from the Municipality of Pristina, marking IDAHOBIT through a dialogue on the role of art and institutions in supporting, representing, and standing closer to the queer community. Together, we reflected on how cultural spaces can become safer, more welcoming, and more responsible, and how institutions can move beyond words toward meaningful care, inclusion, and action.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Kometë for this warm and important discussion. The conversation also opened an important reflection on public funding and responsibility: how public money must serve all communities, including underserved and marginalized groups, and how cultural policies should actively create access, representation, and opportunities for those who are too often left outside institutional support.

This activity was implemented by CEL Kosova, with the support of EU in Kosovo and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as part of QIPS’ Art Therapy Week.
