Pride Week 2019

Pride Week 2019 was held from October 7th to 10th, with the slogan “Who does your heart
beats for” calling for tolerance, understanding, and acceptance.

The slogan “For the Heart to Beat” encompasses positive feelings and support as integral parts of
every person, as everyone’s heart beats for a cause or a person. This feeling cannot be controlled
or erased, but must be understood and accepted.

Throughout the week, a series of events were organized, including:

Opening Ceremony: The official start of Pride Week.
Exhibitions: “QUEIN” featured personal stories of LGBTQI+ individuals, while “TransBalkan” was a photographic documentary focusing on the trans community in the Balkan region.
Conference: A conference on “Legislation: Opportunities Seized and Missed” discussed legal
aspects related to LGBTQI+ rights.
Film Screenings: Screenings of “Moonlight” and “Kosova Trans” were accompanied by open
discussions.
Workshops: Workshops on topics such as journalism and psychology for the transgender
community.
Social Events: Karaoke nights, trivia nights, and the Pride Parade fostered a sense of community.
