The enrichment of the “daily press” sub-collection as part of the “press” collection of the Archive of LGBTI+ in Kosovo has been completed.
The “daily press” sub-collection consists of a total of 8 newspapers and portals (Rilindja, Java, Jeta ne Kosovë – Kallxo.com, Evropa e Lire, Zëri, KOHA, Kultplus, Ekonomia online) through which daily news, reviews, interviews and more. Their arrangement is done in chronological order. In the absence of articles once published in traditional newspapers, there is a gap between the years 1978 – 2003 – 2011.
The selection of online portals was made taking into account the date format, the widest scope of the articles, the titles closest to the content as well as the professionalism. When the same news is published quite similarly in more than two portals, the best format for reading and the most descriptive title is selected. When the topic was the same but different in approach and illustration through photographs or videos, two or more articles per topic were saved.
For curatorial reasons, this sub-collection, not exactly, but roughly, can also serve as a gauge of print media coverage over the years.
